Requirements for Admissions
For admission into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, applicants must have earned a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree from a nationally or regionally accredited institution, graduating with at least at 2.50 Grade Point Average (GPA). An official transcript is required as part of the application package.
Applicants must have successfully completed all prerequisite courses, with one being allowed to be in progress during the quarter/semester of application. A prerequisite science GPA of 2.75 is needed to apply to the program.
All prerequisite courses are to be completed prior to the start of the program. Required prerequisite courses are:
- Anatomy and Physiology (either a 4-credit course or Parts I and II, lab included)
- Microbiology (4 credits, 1 semester, lab included)
- Chemistry (4 credits, 1 semester, lab included)
- Statistics (3 credits)
- Social Science: Sociology or Psychology (3 credits)
- English (3 credits)
